ARRI ALEXA 35
Once again ARRI raises the bar for digital cinema capture with the ALEXA 35, a Super35-format camera boasting a new 4:3 4K.6 sensor that delivers 2.5 stops of additional dynamic range, improved performance in low light, and richer, more accurate color reproduction. Our aerial cinematographers are experienced in flying this camera.
Arri alexa mini lf
Built around a large-format 4K version of the original ALEXA sensor, the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF (LPL) camera in this Ready to Shoot PL-Mount Set offers native 4K recording in three sensor modes, with ARRIRAW or ProRes recording in LF Open Gate, LF 16:9, or LF 2.39:1 mode. Our drone operators have flown the LF on major motion pictures.
arri alexa mini
Compact, lightweight 35mm camera with versatility for gimbals and aerial work, plus integrated lens motor control and ND filters. Features the same ALEV III Sensor as the ARRI ALEXA. Precision Aerial Filmworks drone crews have flown the Alexa Mini since its release.
RED DSMC2 Gemini
Record in extreme low-light conditions with this dual ISO 800/3200 camera sensor, offering 2 stops sensitivity over the HELIUM sensor. This is RED's tallest sensor option, capturing 5K RED RAW @ 96fps. The Gemini has been the go to low light camera our drone team uses.
RED has taken fresh steps with the release of the KOMODO 6K Digital Cinema Camera by bringing their legendary image quality and color science into an ultracompact, all-in-one design that weighs just 2.1 lb and measures about 4 x 4 x 4". Key to achieving this goal was the use of the Canon RF lens mount and the KOMODO 19.9MP Super 35 CMOS sensor which boasts Global Shutter technology. Our drone team is experienced in flying the Komodo on Heavy Lift AND FPV drones.
With a compact design for solo shooters, for travel applications, and to serve as an ideal B cam, the Sony FX3 borrows from both the Cinema Line and Alpha series of cameras to create an optimized portable cinema camera. The FX3 features all the imaging attributes you'd expect from this class but sports a new lightweight design that's perfect for our Drone crew to fly on the Airpeak platform.
A flagship in the truest sense, the Sony a1 is the one camera designed to do it all. This full-frame mirrorless camera offers 50 megapixel high-resolution for stills shooting, and an impressive 8K video recording. This is our drone crews go to for aerial photography.
DJI X9 Air
The X9-8K Air full frame sensor uses CineCore 3.0, DJI's latest image processing system to internally record up to 8K25 CinemaDNG video or 8K75 Apple ProRes RAW video, both meeting the needs of professional film and television productions. The footage retains a lifelike texture that's close to what the human eye can see, allowing for enough space for adding visual effects and color grading. Complex lighting sources are supported with 14+ stops of dynamic range and the use of the DJI cinema Color System authenticity in recording everything from urban landscapes to a variety of skin tones.
This camera system offers a Super 35 sensor with multiple recording options, including 6K video at 17:9 and 16:9 aspect ratios, DCI 4K at 30 fps, and UHD 4K at 60 fps in Cinema-DNG format; it also supports DCI and UHD 4K in ProRes and H.265/H.264. In addition to video, the Zenmuse X7 shoots 24MP still images. Paired with the DJI Inspire 2 aircraft. Our drone teams fly this camera daily.
